Are you a foodie that loves supporting local businesses in Kauaʻi or someone that loves to cook? You’re in luck –– we’re only a few weeks away from this year’s ʻAi Pono Kauaʻi Challenge (September 25th to October 1st, 2022)!
What is the ʻAi Pono Kauaʻi Challenge?
This challenge seeks to celebrate the abundance of ono, locally grown, raised, and prepared foods on Kauaʻi. In doing so, we hope to inspire Kauaʻi residents to eat and support locally sourced foods as part of their daily lives.
How Do I Participate?
For 7 days, participants are encouraged to eat locally as much as possible. In order to be eligible for prizes, participants are encouraged to follow our scavenger hunt card. Qualifying participants will be awarded based on the following categories:
Best Overall Dish Presentation
Best Overall Drink Presentation
Most Creative 100% Locally Sourced Meal
Most Creative Use of Canoe Plants
Most Creative Use of an Invasive
Best Picture Featuring an ʻAi Pono partner
Grand Prize Drawing: Completed Scavenger Hunt Card
