Now is your chance to make your voice heard. Follow these simple steps to exercise your right to vote:
Step 1: If you're not yet registered to vote, visit: olvr.hawaii.gov
Step 2: Enroll in the Political Party of your choice. This is an essential step to be able to participate in the party's nominee selection. It never hurts to update and confirm your membership with your party.
Step 3: Cast your vote! The Democratic Nominees Poll is on March 6th and the Republican Nominees Poll is on March 12th. Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar.
Democratic Party of Hawaiʻi (DPH) Presidential Party-Run Primary is this Wednesday, March 6. Voting is in person across all islands, starting at 6:00 PM and ending at 8:00 pm.
The choices on the Democratic presidential primary ballot will be: Joesph R. Biden Jr., Jason Michael Palmer, Armando “Mando” Perez-Serrato, Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson. There will also be an option for “uncommitted” for those to express their dissatisfaction with the above choices.
DPH will also be holding their Biennial Elections at 7 PM.
Each State House District has a 15-member council that will be elected Wednesday. Part of the council’s responsibility throughout the year is identifying the 3 names the governor must choose from to fill legislative positions when incumbent democratic legislators move on from their positions.
To be able to participate (to vote, run for delegate &/or District Council position) your membership information must be up to date at www.hawaiidemocrats.org. Same day registration at the polling locations are available.
The Republican Presidential Caucus will take place on March 12, between 6 pm and 8 pm. You can locate your caucus location here: https://thehawaiirepublicanparty.com/caucus-locations
The choices on the Republican presidential primary ballot will be: Ryan L Binkley, Nikki Haley and Donald J. Trump.
You can enroll or update your Republican Party Membership at thehawaiirepublicanparty.com. Same-day registration at the caucus site will be available.
